Dirt Road Rescue – Rural Spay & Neuter Initiative

Dirt Road Rescue is committed to reducing pet overpopulation in rural communities through proactive spay and neuter initiatives. We believe responsible pet ownership begins with prevention, and increasing access to affordable veterinary care is key to decreasing the number of unwanted and homeless animals.

We proudly partner with SEK Animal Advocates Spay & Neuter Clinic to provide low-cost spay and neuter services for low-income families. By coordinating and transporting pets to and from clinic appointments, we remove one of the biggest barriers rural pet owners face — access to care.

We are currently fundraising to:

  • Expand access to affordable spay and neuter services

  • Assist low-income families with veterinary costs

  • Purchase a dedicated animal transport van to safely and efficiently serve our community

With your support, we can prevent unwanted litters, reduce shelter intake, and create lasting change for pets and the families who love them.

Together, we can make prevention possible.

Fostering and Volunteering

We cannot do this work without the support of our community. Every life we save is made possible by compassionate individuals who step up to help.

If you are interested in fostering or volunteering, we would love to connect with you. Fostering truly saves lives — it allows us to rescue more animals, provide individualized care, and continue serving pets in our community who need us most. Our greatest need right now is dedicated foster homes so we can expand our impact and keep saying “yes” to animals in need.

We foster in partnership with SEK Animal Advocates. If you are interested in becoming a foster, please complete a foster application using the link below, or CONTACT US  for more information on how you can get involved and make a difference.

Together, we can create lasting change for pets and the families who love them.
